February 2 – Named NBA Western Conference Rookie of the Month for January

April – Named Rookie of the Year.  Amar’e is the first player to be drafted out of high school to win the award.

May – Named to the All NBA Rookie Team

September – Featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated for Kids 2003-04 season preview

November  - Wins of NBA Week on Wheel of Fortune, donates winnings to the Boys & Girls Clubs of Greater Phoenix.

2004

February 13 – Played in Rookie Challenge and scored a NBA record 36 points

May  - Started the Amar’e Stoudemire Each 1 Teach 1 Foundation and funded his first AAU Team, Team STAT, in Lake Wales, Florida.

August – Won the Bronze medal as a member of Team USA in the 2004 Summer Olympics in Athens, Greece

November 22 – Named NBA Western Conference Player of the Week for November 15-21
