New York, NY
What’s good!
I just finished a tough workout and decided to relax and write a short blog entry before I go see some friends and family for dinner.
I have been in New York for the past couple of weeks training. It was great to see and meet a lot of my teammates. All you Knicks fans will be glad to know that everyone here is working hard to get ready for the season. All of us are on the team because we want to return the Knicks to their proper place in the league…the top!
While in town, I also unveiled the NY Knicks billboard with my pic on it. It is on Broadway between 46th and 47th near TKTS and the W Hotel Times Square. I went down to Times Square in a double decker bus last Thursday with some kids from the Garden of Dreams Foundation. We had a great time talking about the importance of education, staying in school and basketball. I hope they remember our day together as they get older, I know I will. Check out STAT Shots and my Facebook Page for more pictures from that day.
I just took some time to read through your responses on my Facebook page posts and I wanted to thank you all for your kind words. It is great to feel so welcomed by a new city.
Peace.
Amar’e

To be successful, you must throw away all fear. Speed and agility are critical, but desire and determination are even more important. You cannot count on anyone. You have to do the best with what God give you. You got to put the past behind you before you can move on.
Amar’e u r the best. Whatever happens, I am ur fan. U have my word.
Peace
Amar’e. I believe the real source of your happiness is a love of life and a thankful attitude towards life. And that’s why I love you. Tare care of youself for all your loyal fans.
I bid you a good day.
One of your loyal fans:Dan.
As a Black woman, in same age and very similar drive, I can only appreciate your work and sincere acts of kindness. Your level of consciousness and strength, originates from one source, and one source only; GOD’s WORK! As I continue to reach my goals, I will also look at your struggles but more so accomplishments, as an inspiration (confidence builds character, right!! HA). When the time is right, the universe will call for me to shake your hand and converse. Till then, God Bless You and remain humble! Only Love-Jules
Hey Amar’e,
When my wife and I were expecting, she threw out the name Amari to which I said, “You mean like the center for the Suns?” to which she said (defensively), “Nobody knows who that is!” Our daughter’s name is now Amari – and I love it – but it prompted me to write this blog in her first month of existence. Thought you might get a kick out of it.

Bonjour Amare,
Glad to welcome youy last week in Paris.
I never lost my Knicks love, even last 2 years, went 2 times to NY, and assist 3 games (2W 1L, 66% accuracy, what a result for a novice Knicks Coach :p )
…can’t wait anymore this new season, will follow every of your games. No particular expectations, have fun, give us fun, and if you can, be NBA champions, won’t be a bad thing ;D
PS : As a amateur shooting forward, tell Gallino i’m strongly jealous about his accurancy !
GO KNICKS
Hi Amare,
Growing up in a very athletic and talented family I can relate to the dedication that it takes to be great. I believe that my brother is very talented (he plays in the league as well – you guys will match up in March). I think that you and him are very talented men. You don’t see many pro althletes that are grounded in family and your spiritual beliefs. Keep up the great work and be blessed! Represent NY well. We’re from Brooklyn!!!
I have been a fan of your since you were drafted in the NBA. I guess now I am a NY Knicks fan living in Michigan! Hopefully you will get the opportunity to wear a NBA Championship ring, you Deserve It! Good Luck in all that you do and continue to Be Blessed! Sending Love From Michigan!
