Fan Photo of the Week
What’s up everybody? Congratulations to Lori Ann Gershman for being the fan of the week and writing such kind words. I had a great time at the Suns Tweet-Up too! It was nice meeting you and all the other Suns fans.
Keep submitting those pictures on my Facebook Fan Page and I’ll pick a new fan next week. Take it easy.

As a 43-year (lifelong) Suns fan, The 2009 Suns Tweet-Up Game, was THE night of my life! I can’t tell you, Amaré, how GOOD it felt, to be able to thank you personally, express my appreciation, tell you how proud I am, and wish you a great game vs. the *Spurs —sending you off, with a warm hug and a kiss on the cheek ( the Suns ripped the Spurs: 116-104). As much as I look up to you, I see your accomplishments, from a proud mother’s point of view. You’ve overcome a lot in your young life. I admire your diligence and your sensitivity, Amaré. We are blessed to have YOU on OUR team! You’re an absolute beast, on the court, and a true gentleman, off the court. Thanks for keepin’ it real! Now, get out there and show ‘em what you’re made of!
With much love, hope, and gratitude -

I love the photo. I was at the game as well. In fact, I drew that caricature of Amare you see at the right of the photo. Amare is a great person and role model. Keep humble and keep playing strong!
Dearest Amar’e,
Thanks again for selecting ME as your fan of the week!
A fellow Suns fan won an @Amareisreal T-shirt. I’ve inquired with everyone possible, to get my paws on one! Even he didn’t know where the shirt came from. He only said that he won it.
In all my excitement when I met you during the regular season (Spurs @Suns) #SunsTweetUp game, I never got your autograph. I was pining for your shoes from THAT game, too …Ha! They’re THE coolest -and they’re YOURS! I inquired with a Nike guru about buying a duplicate pair in my size (although I would’ve killed (not literally) for the shoes you wore that night. I learned that those shoes are for players ONLY! Giving and receiving a big hug from you, following your pre-game warm-up, is something I’ll NEVER forget! The time you gave to me and several fellow Suns fans, was so generous of you! Your post-game chat, was simply “SUNSational”, as was the blowout you handed the Spurs that night! In the fan photo, my son is standing behind, and to the left of me. You men are just a few years apart. My 6′ 5″ son, really looks up to you, as do I. I’m proud of all that you’ve overcome, and how you spend your off-time, educating our youth, among other charities and youth camps you’re involved with. While I’m old enough to be your mother, I’ve learned quite a bit from you, Amar’e! You are a first-class act, through and through! Please feel free to contact me! I do some volunteer work for PlanetOrange.net, which afforded me the opportunity to meet you, along with a few of your teammates, AND the “Original Sun” Dick Van Arsdale. I have been a Suns fan since GAME ONE in 1968! Of all the players who have come and gone, you are one of the most personable. I posted TwitPics of you …and your shoes…..ha, on Twitter. My Twitter name is: @LoriAnnSUPERFAN. Have a gander at my page! I also have the same name on PlanetOrange.net.
I’m extremely excited for tonight’s game vs. the Spurs: RD2 -Game 1.
Go get ‘em, big guy! Keep your head, Amar’e! THIS series belongs to YOU and the team! You’ve earned it. Keep the drive alive, and DON’T let up! Stay focused! Thanks again for your time and care! Take great care of YOU!
I’m with you ALL the way, win, lose, or draw!
In Hope and with MUCH Gratitude -
Lori Ann
GO SUNS!!!
